Schools can choose to use the Primary PE and Sport Premium to provide additional provision for swimming but this must be for activity over and above the national curriculum requirements. Have you used it in this way? | Yes – in addition to the sessions provided by the school, as part of the SGO contribution the children in Ks2 who are unable to swim the required distances are offered free daily sessions throughout the half term.
As well as this year 6 children who are unable to swim the required distances are given the opportunity to attend extra booster sessions at PTM pool during the autumn term. The higher level swimmers are chosen to represent the school in the swimming gala and are given extra swimming lessons at both PTM pool and Stewards pool.
