A Celebrity in School!!
On Thursday 2nd May 2019, Thea Pride of Essex Sports Awards took place in Chigwell. This event was held to celebrate and honour those who have made an exceptional contribution to sport. Essex has produced countless world class winners, champions and true sporting icons and we should be so proud. The host for the evening was Sky Sports Presenter Bianca Westwood. Award presenters included, Joe Cole, Frank Lampard Senior, Ronnie Irani, Anne Wafula-Strike MBE, Kevin Adams, Terry Alderton; Judges included Jason Leonard OBE, Martin Samuel, John Eagleton, Paul Hardcastle and Bianca Westwood.
It is with great honour and pride to announce that Mr Prentice was nominated and won the Disability Sports Coach Award of the Year. Mr Prentice has been coaching disability sports since 2001 and the head coach at Epping Forest Sportability club. He was nominated for his highly professional coaching, his commitment and compassion to disability sport and for all the fundraising he does for the club. Well done Mr Prentice an award truly deserved!
