Writer of the Week

Children across the school can gain recognition for their effort and their work in writing by becoming Writer of the Week.  A special certificate is awarded to these children in our Celebration Assembly on Fridays.

Speller of the Week

This award is for those children who gain full marks in their spelling or have shown a huge improvement.  A special certificate is awarded to these children in our Celebration Assembly on Fridays.

Pen Licence

The children in Key Stage 2 work towards their Provisional and Full Pen Licences.  When they have demonstrated improved handwriting and presentation their teacher will award their Provisional Licence and then when they are consistently using their handwriting pen to create neat writing they will earn their Full Licence.  The children are awarded with certificates and their pictures are placed on our Pen Licence race track display in our large hall.
