Learning Mentor
Mrs Williams is our Learning Mentor. She supports children across the whole school.
Mrs Williams supports children in groups or as individuals for daily, weekly or as needed sessions.
We can support children with areas such as friendship concerns, bereavement, anxiety, anger management, seperation and other areas that children may need support with.
We can take referrals from parents or staff at the school. Mrs Williams will always ring and speak to parents about any referrals she receives. Children may only be seen once and then strategies shared with the class teachers to use in class. Some children may be offered 6 weeks of sessions and then may be moved to less frequently. Some children may see our learning mentor for a longer period of time if needed.
Mrs Williams can offer meet and greets with children in the morning or may complete drop in sessions in class. Children can write their name on the Learning mentor room door if they require Mrs Williams to come and see them if they feel they are in crisis or it is an emergency.
Mrs Williams runs our KS2 lunchtime club in the Oasis room. This club is run to support children who may find lunchtimes more tricky. Children can choose to attend or they may be invited by school staff.
